A geography project
A project is a small investigation in which you collect your own information (primary data) about a place or a problem near your school, and report on it. A good project follows steps.
| Source | Examples |
|---|---|
| Primary data (collected by you) | Questionnaires, interviews, counting, measuring rainfall, sketch maps |
| Secondary data (from others) | Books, maps, newspapers, census reports, the internet |
Presenting results
Use a table for numbers, a bar graph to compare amounts, a line graph for change in time, a pie chart for parts of a whole, and a map for places. Always give a title, labels and a source. In the report, include the title, aim, hypothesis, methods, findings, conclusion, recommendations and references.
